Wanting to contribute to creating a fairer and healthier world has been the compass that has guided my life decisions since adolescence. That vital drive motivated me to graduate in human rights and dedicate my professional career to international cooperation, quickly realizing the immense difficulty of contributing to structural changes in poorly designed systems. Stays in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Jordan have allowed me to get to know different parts of the world, appreciating their beauty and challenges up close.
During my master’s studies in development management, I came across systems thinking, and it was an “aha” moment when I discovered that there were languages and theories that spoke about what I saw and intuited: the essential interrelationships and the fascinating complexity of reality. It was an awakening to bigger ideas, transdisciplinarity, and more holistic visions of change. With a mix of frustration and relief, I learned that although we can order, structure, and influence the complexity of systems, in practice, we have to dance with them, as the wise Donella Meadows said.
While researching the textile waste system and the cooperation between brands and NGOs in Spain, my path crossed with Elena and Sergio’s. We realized that we were asking similar questions, that we shared values and perspectives, and that my experience in the field of social justice could enrich far&sound’s commitment.
At far&sound, I bring infinite passion for our purpose and for unleashing the maximum potential of our project. Guided by love for the world and ideas, curiosity, and critical-generative thinking, I enjoy researching and structuring multidisciplinary knowledge. Inviting others to see things differently and awakening change agency in the individuals and organizations we accompany fills me with meaning.
For me, far&sound is a vital project, a place of belonging, a place to channel my vocation to contribute in community, and a place of continuous personal and professional growth. far&sound’s commitment to radicality, understood a la Angela Davis as grasping things at the root, is a brave and ambitious endeavor that I am proud to be a part of.
