This could be you
Klara Jamison Gromark
Wanting to contribute to creating a fairer and healthier world has been the compass that has guided my life decisions since adolescence. That vital drive motivated me to graduate in human rights and dedicate my professional career to international cooperation, quickly realizing the immense difficulty of contributing to structural changes in poorly designed systems. Stays in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Jordan have allowed me to get to know different parts of the world, appreciating their beauty and challenges up close.
During my master’s studies in development management, I came across systems thinking, and it was an “aha” moment when I discovered that there were languages and theories that spoke about what I saw and intuited: the essential interrelationships and the fascinating complexity of reality. It was an awakening to bigger ideas, transdisciplinarity, and more holistic visions of change. With a mix of frustration and relief, I learned that although we can order, structure, and influence the complexity of systems, in practice, we have to dance with them, as the wise Donella Meadows said.
While researching the textile waste system and the cooperation between brands and NGOs in Spain, my path crossed with Elena and Sergio’s. We realized that we were asking similar questions, that we shared values and perspectives, and that my experience in the field of social justice could enrich far&sound’s commitment.
At far&sound, I bring infinite passion for our purpose and for unleashing the maximum potential of our project. Guided by love for the world and ideas, curiosity, and critical-generative thinking, I enjoy researching and structuring multidisciplinary knowledge. Inviting others to see things differently and awakening change agency in the individuals and organizations we accompany fills me with meaning.
For me, far&sound is a vital project, a place of belonging, a place to channel my vocation to contribute in community, and a place of continuous personal and professional growth. far&sound’s commitment to radicality, understood a la Angela Davis as grasping things at the root, is a brave and ambitious endeavor that I am proud to be a part of.

I have always been driven by a passion to understand the fabric of reality. My desire for depth has led me to wander between concepts that often appear to be intimate enemies: reason and emotion, biology and culture, rigor and poetry. My thirst for meaning springs from the gaps between them.
I focused my first educational fase on the sciences and engineering, applying them for years to the design and management of large technology projects. After experiencing firsthand the challenges associated with forming efficient human groups, I felt that I lacked tools to better understand other perspectives on reality. It was there that I immersed myself in a long multidisciplinary exploration (philosophy, sociology, economics, art) that led me to complete a doctorate in humanities on the ethical and aesthetic foundations of contemporary art.
Since 2011, as a natural extension of this quest, I began to explore the links between the sources of ethics, the purpose of organizations, and the articulation of strategies to achieve more prosperous models. I coincided with Elena while participating in sustainability and innovation projects, and together, since 2017, we began shaping far&sound, with the desire to help structure the actions of individuals and organizations with meaning and integrity.
At far&sound, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective, with a special affection for subjects that are often neglected, such as basic science, philosophy, ethics, or aesthetics. I also enjoy using my capacity for abstraction and structuring complex territories. In my colleagues, I have found the perfect allies for an exploration that aspires to be deep and honest. I rely on them to learn how to project the best version of ourselves, the communities to which we belong, the society we share, and the life-system we inhabit.
For me, far&sound is the space that fulfills many of my life and professional concerns, allowing me to channel my deepest aspirations and share my learnings with others.

From a family of doctors and teachers, I inherited the itch of vocation. However, the first inclination I felt within me was not towards a profession but towards a way of life guided by the curiosity of a learner, the appreciation of beauty, and the calling to serve.
In the professional realm, it took me much longer to feel a genuine interest in my work. After studying business administration, I dwelled in the business world, specializing in the fashion and textile industry from various positions. All of them guided by the same ultimate purpose: to sell more. A purpose that never resonated with me. Until 2010, when I collaborated with two young designers who showed me that a company can have a different role in the world, positively contributing to society and the planet.
And at that moment, everything made sense. Sustainability began to shed light on my professional vocation, through an exciting journey of exploration and creation: the first Spanish platform for promoting sustainability in the fashion world, the first popular science book on sustainable fashion in Spanish, or the first specialized in-person course on sustainable fashion in Spain.
While working as a sustainability consultant for the textile/fashion sector, I crossed paths with Sergio, and in 2017, we decided to merge our paths by founding far&sound. Far&sound has led me to transcend sustainability and find meaning and integrity as the new horizon, which undoubtedly continues to fuel the itch of vocation.
To f&s, I bring knowledge of the business world and experience in working with creative profiles. Intuition, the ability to connect dots, and visual synthesis skills. And I share with my colleagues the longing to learn, which continuously prompts us to question ourselves in order to build our best version.
For me, f&s is a journey accompanied by others that allows you to dream, grow, and give.
